Corsin Tuor

Corsin Tuor (*1963) wuchs in Trun (GR) auf. Er erwarb sein Lehrdiplom mit Auszeichnung im Hauptfach Euphonium und anschliessend das Diplom in Blasorchesterdirektion am damaligen Konservatorium Luzern – heute Hochschule Luzern-Musik. Während acht Jahren war er Solo Euphonist der Brassband Bürgermusik Luzern. Als Dirigent gründete und leitete er den Cerchel musical dalla Surselva. Für seine kulturelle Arbeit erhielt er 1998 vom Kanton Graubünden den Förderpreis und 2010 den Kulturpreis der Gemeinde Trun. Neben der Brass Band Harmonie Neuenkirch, der MG Risch-Rotkreuz (mgrr) war er musikalischer Leiter der verschiedenen Formationen der Brassband Bürgermusik Luzern (BML) und erhielt zahlreiche Gastdirigate wie z. B. Nationale Jugend Brass Band der Schweiz. Corsin Tuor unterrichtete mehr als 20 Jahre Blechblasinstrumente an der Musikschule Michelsamt, wo er die Jugend Brass Band Michelsamt gründete und leitete. Er setzte sich stark für die Jugendförderung ein und erzielte mit seinen Musikschülern wie auch mit der Jugend Brass Band kantonal wie national grosse Erfolge. Fünf Jahre leitete er die Musikschule Michelsamt. Seit 2013 führt er als Abteilungsleiter die Bläser-,  Schlagzeugabteilungen und Musik & Bewegung der Musikschule Luzern. 2015 erwarb er den MAS in Musik-Managment.

Von 1990 - 2015 leitete er die Brass Band Rickenbach, mit der er kantonal und national regelmässig Podestplätze erzielte und am Schweizerischen Brass Band Wettbewerb (SBBW) zwei Mal Schweizermeister in der 1. Stärkeklasse  wurde. Mit dem Konzertevent Rickenbach setzte Corsin Tuor neue Akzente in der Programmierung von Konzerten. Seit 2012 dirigiert er die Brass Band Berner Oberland und erzielte sowohl am Swiss Open wie auch am SBBW Podestplätze.  Als Bandleader der Mountain Swing Big Band konzertiert er seit 2011 mit Marie Louise Werth in der ganzen Schweiz. Mit den verschiedenen Formationen hat er mehrere Tonträger eingespielt. Als Mitinhaber von lucerne music edition (LME) betätigt sich Corsin Tuor zudem als Arrangeur, Komponist, Musikverleger und Produzent. An der Hochschule der Künste Bern ist er Dozent in Blasmusikdirektion (Instrumentation Brass Band, Geschichte und Literaturkunde Brass Band u.a.). Zahlreiche Jurytätigkeiten im In- und Ausland vervollständigen sein musikalisches Wirken.

Joe Laube

Josef (Joe) Laube was born in Innsbruck, received accordion lessons as a child and in the age of 14, he joined the city orchestra Innsbruck-Pradl (french horn). He led the orchestra as a conductor for 28 years. He graduated from the technical-oriented high school specialized in electrical engineering and was a member of the military music orchestra Militärmusik Tirol.

He studied and took horn lessons with Professor Hansjörg Angerer and graduated from Mozarteum Salzburg (department X Innsbruck) in school music and music education.

For many years, Joe Laube has been a horn soloist and arranger for the Brass Band Fröschl Hall. Additionally, he works as a music teacher in Hall and Wattens and gives lessons in horn, piano and music theory. Since 2014, he has been the conductor of the city orchestra Innsbruck-Arzl.

In 1992, he launched a mobile sound studio named tonstudio sillton, an internationally sought-after studio that has worked on productions for MCP, Tyrolis and Gramola and recorded artists like the next step-percussiongroup, Wiltener Sängerknaben (their Christmas oratorio of J.S. Bach has been nominated for the German price Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik), Brass Band Fröschl Hall, Philharmenka-Die Nürnberger Böhmische, Wiener Sängerknaben, Florian Klingler - trumpet, Lito Fontana - trombone, Steven Mead - euphonium, Tölzer Knabenchor, Glenn Miller Orchestra - Wil Salden, Montanara Chor Stuttgart and others.

Hannes Buchegger

Hannes Buchegger is the specialist and trail-blazer of brass band music in Austria and a renowned conductor in the European brass band scene.

He was born in Innsbruck and studied trumpet and conducting at the Tyrolean State Conservatory. In 1986, he founded the brass quintet Haller Stadtpfeifer. During a concert tour in England, he was inspired by the local brass band scene and founded the Brass Band Fröschl Hall in 1987. With this ensemble, he was able to achieve numerous success, including winning the B-section of the European Brassband Championships four times (Montreux, London, Kerkade, Munich). For 10 years, he has been a guest conductor for the Brassband Oberösterreich and has been able to win the B-section in Groningen (2005) and Belfast (2006). Consequently, the ensemble could compete in the champions' section and sensationally won the 3^rd place of the European Championships 2010 in Linz. Due to its success, the ensemble Brassband Oberösterreich has been invited to perform in Montreux, Stockholm, Bergen as well as South Africa - including an Easter Concert in Cape Town in 2011. Since 1987, Hannes Buchegger is the head of the municipal music school Hall in Tirol and very successful in the education of high-class young brass players who won several prices at the Austrian Federal Contest Prima la musica in the categories soloists and chamber music. He is also a member of several juries for soloist, ensemble and brass band contest in Austria as well as Switzerland, Germany, Norway, Scotland and the Netherlands. As a result of his untiring commitment over the past 26 years, the brass band scene has been established in Austria and the neighbour region Alto Adige/Italy.
